The farm has come along way.... Missouri Vortex is not just a skate park in the middle of the jungle.. It’s also campgrounds, hiking trails and a fishing pond with paddle boats.... The days can be full of activities or just lounging in a hammock.. BBQ’s campfires and star gazing at night is common... and the skatepark has lights!! Also a few guest cabins and a livable treehouse!! Anyone who donates here please feel free to come visit!!

Bringing The Streets to the Farm Land!!
After countless hours working and dollars spent we here at Hermann's Hole have finally decided to give the kids what they really want!! We've realized that we've wasted a load of time and tax payers money on useless transitions and bowls to skate. Even though you can't drive 2 blocks in any direction without seeing a manual pad, a wallie pole or a nice stack of stairs... We are bringing these obstacles to the Hole where we can do our free style tricks without being harassed by the cops.
We view our decision as a monumental move towards the future of Missouri Skateboarding in hopes that other parks in the St. Louis area that are wasting time & money building boring bowls and ramps will just start laying flat crete, stairs, euro gaps, and more slide rails. Look at Jefferson Barracks for instance.. If they had just put in a manual pad instead of a quarter pipe that place would be paradise! So wake up STL!! Go build a DIY manny box or hammer a pole in the dirt and sit on it!! Bowl skating days are over... Vert is dead!
Let us build something for skateboarding as unique and interesting as a parking garage!!

LA LEFT
915am flight outta STL-LAX... San Pedro by 12pm.. We ate some Mexican food of coarse then skated all Pedro's concrete...
Next we got a tip about a pool in LA, and just by good luck we drove right up to it with no problems.. It's a sweet left hand kidney !! Had a blast there and even met a skateboarder who lived in STL years ago.. sun was starting to go down so we went to the beach for a crowded ride on the new Venice park.. It was a good day to be in LA.
Soon I'll be in Germany scrubbing new crete and skateboarding too... Hermann is gonna have to wait till the the fall comes to cool off our Hole.

Last Summer Skate Next Week!!
The Hole is gonna be shut down for a few weeks or more as of next Friday August 13th. So that means Wed & Thursday will be the last chance for summer night dig/skate 2010!! Come out & put a shovel in the ground for a chance to ride this concrete jungle!! Also there will be some supervised WORK ONLY dates on the Sundays in August if you wanna come out & help dig out the new bowl pocket let us know!! (email: hermannshole@yahoo.com)
This fall is gonna be a good one for Hermann's Hole.... Starting September 7th Hermann will be insulating & adding on to the Skate Barn to prepare for winter.. We also will be very busy with pouring the new Mini-Bowl pocket & forming up the first neck of the snake run into the Pala Shallow!! If you thought what we already have is fun... Just come be a part of the next phase!!
Dr. Jones didn't earn his Hermann's Hole Membership just by grinding coping & skating fast... He put in many hours of shoveling & hammering first.... Come earn your Hermann's Hole Membership Card!!
See the dirt pile behind the grind?? Thats what needs to be shaped by shovel. Come get some!

55 YARDS DEEP!!
THE BOWLS NOW HAVE 50 YARDS OF PREMIXED CONCRETE DELIVERED BY TRUCK AND APPROXIMATELY 176 BAGS MIXED BY HAND... THAT'S A TOTAL OF 55 YARDS OF CONCRETE HERE AT HERMANN'S HOLE!!
IF ALL THE CURED CONCRETE HERE AT THE HOLE HAD BEEN HAND MIXED IT WOULD EQUAL APPROXIMATELY 2,217 BAGS OF SACK CRETE!! THAT'S OVER 79 TONS OF CONCRETE!!
