Thanksgiving Decks!!

There was a ripping sesh on Friday after Thanksgiving day!! Patton got his first deathbox grind! Everyone shredded!! Best tricks of the day must've been Scott Laird's kickflip frontside smith grinder followed up by Jake Schwertz's kickflip long grinding backside 5050 from bank to bricks. Everyone killed it!!! Loads of skateboarding went down!! Thanks to everyone who mixed, troweled, skated & brought crete... Decks were poured. Jameson got the first stalls on the parking block... It was a productive Hermann's Hole skateday.

Skateboarding is hard work.

THE HOLE IS GETTING BIGGER!!

The amoeba section of concrete attached to the bowl which we now refer to as the "mini bowl" has been growing. In July 08, an ornamental sewer lid was installed in the deck of the big bowl. Then, in September 08, it became a small quarter pipe, pump bump, bank to ledge psycho/micro-ramp. This was mainly made to stop a mosquito larvae infested suicidal frog pond. Winter was spent working on city projects and then we had the 1st bowl birthday party in May 09. With the donations which were raised from that unorganized chaos, we wrenched off a corner pocket with plenty of flat ground to add walls to later.. Later came sooner.... Last week an opposing wall came through with a few more surprises.. The new section is an escalator to a hip leading into a mellow corner with easy ollie brick coping melding into a parking block which is carefully placed in a position to be a spine in the near future.

Thanks again to all the people who've helped in the progression of skate terrain at Hermann's Hole in the last 2 years, and another thanks to the 6 men who willed the creation of this wall in the 2nd week of November 2009.

SKATEBARN IS SKATEABLE!!!

The Barn is fully equipped with a wood burning stove and a miniramp with vert wall... Great for a cold winters day!!

The outside of the barn is not too pretty yet... But skateboarding is not always pretty.

A beautiful veiw of skateboarding & nature.
