HAVE YOU SEEN HIM?
On Friday night March 9 2012 Rob Dixon paddled out onto a lake in a kayak near Cuba, Missouri... His belonging were found Saturday morning and his body was never seen again... Rob was a builder, an artist, mason, a traveler, a skateboarder, and a contributing builder of spots such as Skatopia, St.Louis City Museum, Cement Land, Kings Highway, Hermann's Hole, also many other skateparks, ramps, D.I.Y. pools around the country... Robert was always down to help out his friends and family with a smile under his beard.... His travels, work & generosity was inspirational to all skaters who knew him. Even with a broken foot he would do concrete work all day and then tape it up and skate the next day..(shown here in the layback)
All the best to Rob's family his brother Ed, girlfriend Mel, and his many many friends.... His memory will live on forever in the concrete he finished and the blocks he set here in Hermann, and everywhere else he visited in his time here on earth...... A true friend he was... Thankyou Rob... Come back soon!!

3 AND A HALF YEARS AGO WE STARED THIS CONCRETE SKATEPARK DEEP IN THE MISSOURI WILD.... THIS DVD IS PACKED WITH DAY 1 UP TILL TODAY'S FOOTAGE OF THE SOME OF THE BEST BACKWOODS D.I.Y. SKATEBOARDING/BUILDING IN THE MIDWEST!!!! WITH A TIMELAPSE OF EVERY DROP OF CRETE POURED AT THE HOLE!!! 2HOURS AND 12 MINS OF FOOTAGE BROKEN UP OVER 16 CHAPTERS!!!
SO FAR WE HAVE POURED ALMOST 150 YARDS OF CONCRETE WITH BARELY ANY HELP FROM DONATION$.... THE GOAL NOW IS TO RAI$E FUNDS FROM THE SALES OF DVD, CLOTHING, DECKS, ETC....... WE STILL HAVE 100 YARDS OF CRETE TO POURS AND WE ARE GETTING BETTER AND FASTER AT IT ALL THE TIME!!!!
SO GET OUT TO YOU'RE LOCAL SHOP AND BUY SOMETHING!!

NEXT CONCRETE POUR
DURING CONSTRUCTION OF THIS MASSIVE BOWL AND SNAKE RUN WE DISCOVERED AN OLD CONCRETE SLAB ONLY 5 FEET FROM THE BACK OF THE PIANO KEYS... CONCRETE FROM THE DAYS WHEN THIS LAND WAS A FARM!!!
WITH HELP WE UNEARTHED THE SLAB AND BUILT A TRANNY OFF THE MINIBOWL DECK TO MATCH THE 80 YEAR OLD SLAB....WE WILL FINISH THIS LITTLE BONUS SECTION IN ONLY 2 MORE POURS!!

REMEMBER THE TUNNEL!!
Back in 2004 when most had not even thought to mix up concrete and trowel out ramps under a roof this place off Broadway and Mound Street was hive for a core group of vigilantes who had a vision.
Now "The Tunnel" is gone just like the "Tennis Courts" and soon to be wrecked in the next 2 years will be the park under the bridge in St. Louis, "Kings Highway".
Hermann's Hole will remain!! And with it the inspiration from all concrete skatepark DIY will keep their memories alive!! There are still plenty of visions for projects out there in the ditches, woods, alleys, bridges, and vacant buildings... So get out there and do it because no one is gonna do it for you!!!
If your not doing any thing constructive... Put on your mask... Grab a shovel... Get out here and build!!!

Ameren Missouri officials issued an alert for the plant near Fulton at about 11 a.m. Sunday, saying a refrigerant leak was reported in one of two rooms that contain the plant's air conditioning system.
The situation was over by about 5:30 p.m. Sunday. Ameren said there was no release of radioactivity above normal operating limits, and that neither plant personnel nor the public was ever in danger.
